Hello,
My 21 year old nephew became a permanent resident in 2006, but he had to return back home at the end of the year 2006 to take care of some of his education and business before immigrating to US permanently. He filed for re-entry permit before his departure from US and received the permit, which will expire in OCT 2008. But unfortunately he is not allowed to leave the country now and come back to USA because he is at the drafting age and he is not allowed to have a passport at this time. Is there any ways that his re-entry permit can get extended for another 2 -3 years until he is allowed to leave the country again.
Thank you for your help.
