How long does it takes to get fingerprinting for Re-entry after applying for it?

Hi all,

We have applied for re-entry permit on june 1st week. got the acknoweldement as well but didn't get any notice for bio-metric. So is anybody aare of this how long usually takes to get finger printing after applying for it? Bcoz we need to go back to india atleast by july 15th.

Be patient, it took about 1 week for us to get a confirmation of receipt and another 2 weeks to get a date for biometrics. We are in CA. I have heard that once the biometrics is completed, you can leave the country. But not sure about the later.

No progress yet

We applier on 23rd June - did not get a notice yet but found out the receipt number it was dated 24th June. We also put an expedite request on July 3rd - no update till now. Was supposed to leave on 11th July. Had to cancel my tickets and incur costs. Am planning to leave on 20th July..

we applied during june 15th. and we already done with our finger printing on July 2nd and now we are in india.

How to expediate

We applied on july 1st and our application got rejected because our lawyer did not pay the biometrics fees. We reapplied on july 11 and waiting for the biometrics appointment. How can we request USCIS to expediate the application so we can get the biometrics appointment early? We already cancelled out tickets once and we have to leave to India ASAP.

We applied for reentry permit on July 11 2008 and on July 14th USCIS received our application. We got a notice from them on July 21 for biometrics appointment on Aug 1 2008.
