Besides reentry permit, medical insurance, what else need to be done after first entr

Hi,

My parents got their green cards and will come to the US. But they have to return after 2 months since they still need to handle something.

Is 2 month enough? I know they need:

1. Apply for medical insurance, how long does this take?
2. Apply for reentry permit. If they don't get the finger print notice before they want to leave, what can be done to continue the application?

Anything else they need to do?
