GC Expired / L1 Application

Hi:

I am in Indian Citizen.
I had a valid GC for USA before I returned to India in 2005.
I had taken re-entry permit, which also expired in Jan 2008.

I have a few questions...

(1) Do I have a valid case of filing the SB-1 for retaining the status ?
(2) Can I file another re-entry permit - while in India ?
(3) Will the GC or re-entry permit have any impact on a possible L1 petition for me by my employer ?
