How my mother can come on GC second time after 3 months stay in USA on GC?

Hi All,

My brother is US Citizen and he applied for GC for mother.My mother is not much educated.I means she can't speak english.
My mother got green card last year August 2007. She came to USA on Sept 5, 2007 and stay here in USA for less than 3 months and went back to India on Dec 3,2007. Now she wants to come in USA on GC again.
She didn't apply for re-entry permit before leaving the USA.I heard that she can stay outside USA less than six months on GC.
My question is :
Is my mother's GC is still valid or not?
Can she come on GC now without any problem?
I read on immihelp that she can come USA on GC if she stays more than six months and less than a year abroad.She needs to apply for readmission at Port of Entry.
How she can apply for readmission by using her GC at port of entry ? Do she need any document for that from my brother?

Please explain me in details what she needs to do for reenter the USA before Dec 3,2008?

If she is coming back under a year, no problem. she only needs the GC at the port of entry. If she comes back after 1 year without a re entry permit, then she is in a problem.
