Re-entry permit

Hello,

I was told when applying for the re-entry permit that after the biometrics are taken I can leave the country (my husband got transfered overseas). I had my biometrics taken and left the country a week later. Now they the USCIS sent a letter that they need more evidence before they can approve the case. Does that influence if they approve or deny the application for the re-entry permit?

I received a letter USCIS for more evidence as well. First, you have to receive the letter. Case status online will only tell you that they sent a letter but neither the website nor a customer service at USCIS would tell you what the letter says. Whatever the case may be, you must respond to USCIS by the date stated on the letter, otherwise your case will be dismissed. In my case, they just needed better adjusted passport size photos from me.
