Thank you for reading this message.
I adopted my son, Andrei B. Perry, from Romania at age three years in 1991. He is now 20 years of age. His green card expired many years ago and I did not re-adopt him in the USA. He has a social security card; foreign adoption documents; expired Romanian passport (with stamp indicating legal entry into the USA, dated 5-27-1991; baptism certificate; high school diploma. He does not have any Federally issued identification. Andrei has developmental delays and will not be a driver, but he does require and ID for employment. He qualifies for citizenship under the Family act of 2000 as I an American Citizen adopted him in 1991. Last year in October I took his Green card with us to the airport, DIA, as he was traveling to see my brother in Albuquerque. I thought that He would need some type of ID even though it was expired. Now that I am preparing to file for his Certificate of Citizenship I am unable to locate the Green Card. I have looked everywhere. I do not know that I will be able to find it. I called the airport and it was never turned in.
He has a chance to start a job in June tolerant of his dissability. He needs to have a background check fingerprints etc.
What can I do to proceed with getting him an ID or the Certificate of Citizenship when I am unable to find the Green Card? His passport has the Green Card # in it. Can his expired, lost Green card be replaced?
Thank you in advance for your time in responce to this question.
