Folks,
Have had a GC since 2007. Over the last 18 months, have been posted in Asia with my company to help grow the local team here. Due to work and travel load, I havent been able to get back to the US in the last 12 months (it.s been 14 months). I didnt think to apply for a re-entry permit ahead of time!
I still have my condo mortgages et, still get paid in the US, still file US tax returns and still have my US bacnk accounts. I'm obviously keen to get back. Pondering between the options below...suggestions welcome.
Option 1) Apply for an SB1 Visa in the embassy in Mumbai. I have copies of my paychecks, tax returns, mortgagte statements and a letter from my company so HOPEFULLY that goes down well??
Option 2) Take my chances at the US border. Thinking about flying into montreal and driving into the US with some US friends in their car. I heard the borders while driving are less likely to dig into my history.
Suggestions please?
