Dependent Visa for GC holders

I and my wife are currently in India and I have got my GC approved 10 days back. My wife's fingerprinting has been scheduled for the second week of Dec as part of AOS processing. We had a kid born in India this August. My question is

1. Is there any option available for my kid to travel as my dependent before my wife gets her GC?

2. Will I be able to initiate GC processing for my kid staying in India?
