I need your help please!
I'm in the US as an Au Pair from Germany. I met my boyfriend here and he is from Peru. He is permanent resident...has the green card. We are trying to think of a way to be together. I cannot stay in the US since I wanna study and I cannot effort that here. I need to go back to Germany. He would come with me. But the point is that he doesn't want to loose his citizenship. He can apply for that in 1 or 2 years. But if he would go to Germany now for 1 or 2 years and live there...maybe study there. Would he still have his green card and will he still be able to apply for the citizenship? Or is he supposed to stay in the states until he can apply for the citizenship? I mean is there a certain policy that?
