Give up GC and apply for nonimmigrant visa

Hello,

I am planning to give up my green card. However, I would like to visit the USA once a year for a week or so for face-to-face interactions with my client, a US firm. I am an independent contractor and do not work for any company. I will continue to render my software services to the client during this temporary 1 week in the USA. I will be paid for the serivces as well as the travel expenses after my return to India.

Pls advice as to what type of visa will be appicable for me under the circumstances?

You can't do paid work while on B1/B2 visa.

It would be best if you go to U.S. on your green card, do the services and then come back and give up your green card. However, after you do that, you will face the same problem for your next trip.
