How soon can i apply for a re-entry permit after getting an LPR

Hi - I received my green card 1 month ago through work; Now i have an opportunity to take on a role with the same company in China - but have to start by Jan 2020 (after 6 months).
1) I will be applying for my re-entry permit in 2 to 3 months time.
2) Is it too soon to be applying for a Re-entry permit ?
3) Is there any time limit after getting a greencard before one can apply for a re-entry permit ?

There is no time limit. You can apply for a Re-entry Permit immediately after becoming an LPR if you want.
