  • separation from marriage to us citizen

    hello,
    i hope someone can help.
i have been married to a us citizen, through a k1 visa, for 3 and half years. i recently received my permanent resident card (10 years). on receiving the green card my wife informed me that she wanted to separate from me. we are not getting a divorce but will remain permanently separated. i am concerned if this has an affect on my permanent resident status. my wife and i now live at separate addresses.
do i need to inform uscis about the change in my marital status?
does my separation affect my US permanent resident status?

    thanks
    aaron

It does not affect as long as you entered the marriage in good faith.

You don't need to notify anyone about the change in your marital status.

However, if your address has changed, you need to inform USCIS about it.
