  • Employer shutdown company 2 weeks after I received my GC. Is my PR status safe?

Hi everyone. This forum has been my support system throughout this process. And I come back today with a new problem.

I got my EB2 (employer sponsored) approved a couple weeks ago. Was really excited but then yesterday the management announced they're shutting down and terminating everyone immediately because of business downturn. I've been with them for almost two years. I had a few questions regarding this situation:
    1. Is my status safe? I believe I got super lucky my case got approved before this announcement but confirming if I'm out of the woods.
    2. What documentation should I start collecting in case I'm asked ever about this? Are there any next steps I should be wary of.
    3. I had travel plans in December. Can I travel without a job - do they scrutinize first time GC travelers about employment at immigration?

Don't know if this is relevant but my AOS adjudication took less than 6 months so I wouldn't have been able to use AC21 had this happened any earlier.

Thanks so much in advance! Bless you all
