  • I-751 packet send on 12/16/19

    Hello Everyone,

I have send my i-751 packet for removal of condition on my green card on 12/16/19. I have received my CG through marriage to my wife who is a Naturalized US Citizen on 2/14/2018. The packet arrived at the PO Box in Dallas on 12/20/19. Assuming next 2 weeks are holidays and short weeks I think it will be delayed little before it gets accepted by USCIS.

Here are the paperwork that I have send for anyone that would like to know:

    - Cover Letter with the same list that is below
    - Check for $680 (I-751 fee and biometric fee)
    - I-751 Form
    - Our taxes for the year of 2017 and 2018 files jointly
    - IRS transcript showing that taxes for those years were submitted
    - Rental Agreement between us and our landlord for 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020
    - Copy of all the checked paid to our landlords every month since 2017 both names on checks
    - TD Bank statements for our joint checking account
    - Verizon Internet bill statement for the 2017, 2018, 2019 both our names
    - PSE&G electric and gas bill statement for 2018 and 2019
    - Costco Anywhere Visa Credit Card statements showing both of our names
    - Costco membership cards and printout from Costco showing that the membership is active with our both names on it.
    - Bank of America Alaska Airlines credit card statements for the years 2018 (we stopped using the cards at the end of 2018 and we only use them throughout 2018 year). My wife's name was on the bill but I have send a copy of our credit card to show that we are both on the account.
    - Assurance Renters insurance proof for 2018, showing both names
    - State Farm Renters insurance proof for 2019-20, showing both names.
    - State Farm overpayment check made out to both of our names
    - Gym membership contacts signed back in 2017 by my wife and I.
    - Copy of AAA membership cards
    - Car insurance cards for three cars that we own with both our names on it
    - Copy of Two tiles for the cars that we own, showing both names
    - Car Loan Refinance contract for our 3rd car, both our names on it
    - Letter from our Doctor stating that we both have been his patients since 2017
    - My Vanguard Roth IRA account beneficiary showing my wife will receive 100% if anything happens to me.
    - Bills from our veterinarian for visit and procedures done to our dog, both names on it.
    - Itineraries from different trips (tickets, hotel bookings, Airbnb reservations)
    - Picture from our trips, family and friends, birthdays, our hiking trips with out dog, me meeting my in-laws, my wife meeting my family in my home country, etc
    - Affidavit from two friends
    - Agreement letter from the tax guy that we have been using for last 3 years
    - Notice of Data Breach from an auto refinance company that we applied for a refinance (two separate letters, one addressed to me and one to my wife about the same breach)

We don't use social media because we believe that it's just too much drama, so we couldn't submit any of that.

I think that would be all, I hope to receive extension letter soon and then it's just a waiting game and being patient.

Thank you all and hope this helps some.

Thanks for the breakdown. Were you originally on a CR1 or K1?
      --Good luck--
Good luck. I learned the hard way, I hope you don't have to. Immigration is interesting. Not considered as legal advice.

        You're welcome.

I originally went through adjustment of status (i485).

          Hey!

Just wonder how did you fill form I-751.
There was a requirment in instruction to fill N/A in all blank spaces, did you put it or just left it empty? I am asking because I am very confused, Im trying to fill, but it blocks any symbols as '/' and said that I can use just alphabet. so I wonder should I print it and fill it with pen or what or its something wrong with my computer? how did you do it?

On my I-751 left all of them blank that didn't apply to my application, but when I went for I-485 and we used a lawyer, any blank space that was non-applicable to us the lawyer wrote 'none' instead of NA or N/A

I'll move the timeline to the bottom, it was getting lost at the top:

Now it's time to wait for the biometric and being patient.

OMG, I only sent joint bank account and health care lol. Ah, also to affidavits from my spouses brother and his fiancé.

All those documents are over kill haha =D

Someone asked how you filled the I-751, I put N/A on everything that wasn't answered and it worked as well.

So leave it blank or write N/A, both work.

You can get I-797 extension by just sending minimal requirements but that doesn't mean you won't get RFE later on. I prefer doing more now and be ask for less or nothing later. Just my opinion. =D
