I can not seem to find out anything in regards to pros and cons of having dual citizenship of Germany and USA. I am not worried about the obligations to both countries o political issues, voting or the cost of all the paperwork but trying to find out more details in regards to the taxes. I live and work in the US and pay and file my taxes in the USA every year. I do not file taxes in Germany as I do not have any income there. I do owe an apartment in Germany which is still occupied by my stepfather. I get no rent or any income of it but it is worth about 250K. I am trying to find out if I will have to pay taxes on that german property every year. Also trying to find out what other anual costs I might have to take into consideration. Would appreciate any help. Thank you much.

I don't think property taxes has something to do with dual citizenship. People with only 1 citizenship still need to pay property taxes in any country.Nov 2018 - Package sent - EB - Texas Service Center
