Need help on Re-entry

My parents have Family Based GC. They visited India in Dec 09. My mom's passport was expired hence was submitted for renewal in March 10. With the delayed processing in Hyd of the processing they will be coming close to the six months out of the country timeline. What forms need to be submitted so their GC remains active ?
