My green card was stolen in the mail so I got an Adit Stamp (I-551) which will expire on March 4, 2020. i have been trying with no luck to get an info pass appointment to renew the stamp as I have still not received my new green card. What happens if I cannot get an appointment before it expires? Im really concerned!

From what I read, you can't travel abroad without an unexpired stamp, GC or reentry permit. I mean, you can't return.Nov 2018 - Package sent - EB - Texas Service Center
Day 1 - Package received at the lockbox
Day 999 - Card delivered to me - Aug 2021

I am not needing to travel abroad until June or July so hopefully by then I get it sorted. I never had the actual green card as it was stolen in the mail on it's way to me. I have only ever had the ADIT stamp. I just hope that the other documentation will suffice if my employers need more proof.

Hello guys,
I lost my GC too. I have my passport stamps in any case I am going to travel.
So, Stamping of passport is only when you are going to travel?, Am I right?
It doesn't count when you are already employ or working. So in short, I dont need to stamp my passport for my Employment? Am I correct?
Many thanks.

But you are unlikely to run into issues with not having proof of permanent residence for most purposes while staying in the US, unless you go through one of those immigration checkpoints within 100 miles of the border.
For employment, if you presented a green card when you started working, the employer is not supposed to re-verify it. If you start working now, you will need to pass the I-9 document requirements; you can present an unrestricted Social Security card and your driver's license. You should have an unrestricted Social Security card (one without text that says "valid for work only with DHS authorization" or "not valid for work") if you got it after you got your GC, but if you got your Social Security card before you GC and never updated it, then it will be restricted and it cannot be used for I-9.
