  • Covid-19 delays?

    Hello forum,

I mailed in the package for the removal of conditions I-751 on March 24th, 2020. It was received on March 26. It hasn’t been processed or anything. I haven’t been charged the fees. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Could this be because of covid-19?

I checked the website and was advised not to contact USCIS until a month of received date has passed.

I recently filled my I-751 (4/8) and my attorney told me to expect significant delays due to the COVD-19 outbreak. I wouldn't be surprised of this was the cause of the delay.

That's right, even the payment cashing can take up to 2-3 weeks. So, you're still within normal processing times. However, if they haven't cashed your check or charged your cc in another week or so, then it's time to give them a call. The most common reason for rejection is incorrect filing fee (as per USCIS's own website).
      --Good luck--
Good luck. I learned the hard way, I hope you don't have to. Immigration is interesting. Not considered as legal advice.

Thank you for your reply. It is certainly appreciated. I'll be following up with USCIS in the morning once their contact center opens. The package and fees were filed as described within the instructions, we'll see what USCIS says. Thanks again.

Thank you for the suggestion of calling USCIS @PKumar01 - I called today and was informed my case has been rejected and it's being mailed back to us for corrections.

My paperwork was sent once again and received on May 4, 2020, I have not received the letter or receipt in the mail but they have charged me the amount for it. I was advised to call if I don’t receive it by June 3. My GC is expiring by end of June and we’re closing on a house. I am hoping this will not become an issue...
