Reentry Permit By Staying in India

Hi,

Can anyone please help me in getting the clarifications on these questions:

1) Information ==> I heard that as soon as one gets the green card, their H1B visa will no longer be valid and cannot use/show the H1B visa to enter into USA.

Question ==> Is this correct?

2) Information ==> I came to India 2 years back with visa validity as June 28th 2010. And in these two years, I got my Green Card to India to me through my friend.

Question ==> And now green card is with me since 9 months. If I want to go to USA now? Will there any problem at the port of entry?

I could see something like travelling within one year, there will be no problem:

3) Without going to USA, can I get the renetry permit possible maximum time, by staying in India.
or Should I go to to USA for getting the reentry permit?
