Green Card Status

Hi, I have a question on the green card status. We have our parents on Visitors visa, unfortunately one of my parent is admitted in the hospital. We are planning for apply for charity care for paying the bills. Would there be any impact on our green card process for the inability to bear the hospital expenses? Also, would there be an impact on the credit score if we apply for charity.

Looks like charity care is for low income individuals.
Some states pay into charity care.
You need to be very careful and get all the details as this may be considered public burden
