Current status of scheduling I-551 appt after I-90

Hello,

Submitted a completed I-90 due to recent loss of green card. What is the current status of scheduling an appointment to receive a temporary I-551 stamp?

Will my receipt notice received from the I-90 serve as any form of temporary proof of permanent residency?

Also to calm my worries - a lost green card does not result in loss of permanent status correct?

>>> Technically NO. But filing for I-90 is done when one needs to renew or replace a greencard.
So carry the notice + a copy of the greencard when you travel within the US as this is good evidence that you are a PR and have lost the card.

Correct. Once granted, PR status never expires (unless revoked through a formal process). Only the card expires.
