I obtained U.S. Permanent Resident Status when I married an American citizen 20 years ago. I have been out of the U.S. for 2-1/2 years with an extended illness, and now need to apply for a returning resident permit. I am separated from my husband, now, tho. Can I still receive the returning resident permit?
