Hello,
I was approved a reentry permit which will will come to an end in April 2021. In the two year period of being abroad, I have taken employment outside US. I am planning to return before my reentry permit expires. I am trying to understand how i can continue to work with my present employer and still be eligible for naturalization process at the end of 5 years. I lived in the US for 3 years straight prior to going abroad. Please can i have help on the following points:
1. As far as i understand I need to be in the US for 6 months each year in the 5 year period. Does it have to be continuous or can i make multiple trips to the US which cumulatively make 6 months?
2. If the period of stay has to be continuous, can i spend 6 months in US and 6 months abroad, and continue to be employed by the foreign company?
3. When i return back into US at the end of the rentry permit, do i come-in using my green card or do i show re-entry permit at the airport?
