Hi All,
Me and my wife have applied for renewal of green card, we haven't received green card yet, but received receipt notice which says as below.
'This notice, together with your Form I-551, Permanent Resident Card (also known as the Green Card), provides evidence of your lawful permanent resident status for 12 months from the expiration date on the front of your Permanent Resident Card.'
And we are planning to go to India while its processing, so can we just take our existing green card (my GC is already expired and I have applied 6 months back, just received biometric notice last week and my wife we just applied last week but her GC expires Jan 2022) and receipt notice for travel.
