will GC be cancelled pls help

This is regarding my sis, she got her GC last year, she has two kids both US citizens, last month she went to India now , her husband has also gone to india, now that their family problems are very serious, they might end up in divorce. her life is in not good shape.

1. can her husband cancel her GC on any grounds b'cos hez planning to come here alone

2. if at all if he can cancel, is there any way for her to stop that legally

once a derivative GC is granted, it cannot be revoked at the primary's request or in case of a divorce. of course, the hubby can try to challenge the legality of the marriage itself, but the CIS is all too familiar with disgruntled spouses trying to pull these kind of stunts. if the hubby's in the u.s. and he tries this tack, he will be setting himself up for prosecution, as he could be found party to the deception.

She got GC and that is it .. Nothing can a spouse do to stop. May be they will have issues when renewing the card after 10yrs. If she can take care of the kids and take care of a job .. she is on her own . they can get a divorce - legally in US for safety and for future life.
I think you can get help from a lot Indian women organisations in US.
