Changing foreign citizenship while on green card

Does anyone know whether it is allowed to change foreign citizenship while on the green card? Do you need to inform USCIS? Will this impact the naturalization timeline? For example, if a person renounces their Indian citizenship, giving up their passport, to take Spanish citizenship.

Some CBPOs get upset when you present a passport issued by a country that is not the same as the country listed on your gc. You’ve 3 remedies:

1. don’t present your passport. Most of the time this works.

2. present your renouncement of citizenship document

3. Present a CBP web page that says you don’t need a passport to travel to the USA.
