Dear Sir/Madam:
I am on the waiting list for US GC through family sponsorship (I am an unmarried son of a US permanent resident, and am above 21 years old).
My PR application is approved at USCIS and is sent to NVC about 2 years ago, and I expect my GC to be issued in about a year.
Currently I am staying in Australia working as a doctor, and have applied for Australian permanent residency. My Australian permanent residency is also about to be granted in a few months.
Now, I am wondering if obtaining an Australian PR before being granted a US GC will jeopardise my current US GC application?
Will I be denied US GC if they see I have already obtained Australian PR a few months earlier while I had an application for US PR pending too?
Please Advise,
Yours,
M
