My old green card just expired and my green card renewal was approved and mailed out. The status on my renewal said it was delivered to me, but I didn't receive it. I received a i-797C with a two year extension on my old card while I was waiting for my renewal application.
I need to travel to aboard for holidays soon. Can I use my expired old green card and i-797c two year extension letter to come back to the USA? I ask this because I am not certain whether the lost newly approved green card would make my invalid old green card and i-797c invalid. Thank you for your help.
