I came to USA in 1993 with family based visa and holding green card. That time I was just 5 years old. Within 6 months, my parents decided to return back India and we didn’t convert to USA citizenship. In 2017, I travelled back USA on H1B visa. My employer filled green card in EB2 and having approved I140 with 03.2020 priority date. As you know, current wait time for Indian EB2 more than decade. Since i was holding green card number, can we retrieve this instead of this long wait?

Sadly, no. You cannot retrieve your previous green card. When you have a green card, you must have continuous presence within the U.S.. That means any prolonged travel (over 1 year) outside U.S. is considered abandonment of your green card. Because your green card was issued along with your parents, and you as a family did not stay within the U.S. your green card is considered long abandoned and is no longer valid. You have to wait for your employment based green card. Good luck.
