Hello there,
I'm a greencard holder and i'm married to a US citizen and we live in CA on a military post. Me and our daughter (= US citizen) went for a vacation to Germany last year on Oct 14th. Now we want to go back to the US on exactly the 13th Oct. Technically I can leave the US for 12 months and still be allowed to go back. But i'm still afraid that the immigration officer will have a problem with the return date being it is the very last day of the 12 mos. limit and he might just be in a bad mood and not let me in. I wanted to go back sooner, but it was just not possible. there was a death in the family in January and then my daughter got sick and then the tickets got expensive... etc. the only thing I can proove is the death in the family but the rest i have no documentation on.
thank you for listening to my long story
and for your help
