I485 approved but no passport stamping

I got approval for my I485 and the approval letter doesn't say anything about the passport stamping. All it mentioned was "your case has been approved the alien registeration card will be mailed directly within 120 days".
Any suggestions?

u can either wait for the actual card to come or if you have to leave the country now, then you can take the approval notice (original) with some associated documents (just in case) and get your passport stamped. i'm wondering why you didn't get the notice to go to your nearest bcis office for the stamp - hmmmm!
