Changing address after GC is stamped

Got my GC stamped at Memphis this week and have to move to Delaware in next 10 days to join new job. Plan to move there into a hotel and then find an apartment all of which may take 2 weeks. I will Notify BCIS by form AR-11 and also G-731T as my GC was thru TSC.

Question is would this lead to transfer of my file to VSC which covers Delaware. If so does that delay mailing of plastic card.

My lawyer suggested using his address in Virginia as the address for getting GC mailed.
Is this the best way to go.
Would appreciate any help.

Hmm, did you get the GC through employmenr? You are supposed to work for the sponsoring employer "indefinitely." If you changed your employer a week after becoming a PR, you will run into a lot of problems later on.
I don't think there is going to be a card delay, because the cards are produced in a central facility anyway.
