am i eligible for Eb2? how long it takes to clear 2 stages of gc

I have bachelor of computer (16 YRS) + 2yrs india work experience + 4 years US experience.am I eligible for eb2?
I have 2 yRs left on my h1. If my employer files in EB3 can I get clear the gc stage from where on I can apply for yearly h1 extension in time ?

EB2 depends on your job needing it not you having it.

are you saying if Employer needs they can apply in EB2 no matter what is your qualification ?
There has to be some criteria. I am asking becoz i have read in many forums that 16 yrs + 5 yrs exp can fit in EB2.

IF and only IF the job qualifies, what you have comes int picture. It is Bach + 5 years or Masters + 2 years. Your Labor has to be filed at least 365 days prior to H1b expiration to be eligible for 1 year extensions or your I140 should be approved for 3 year extension.
