I-131- documentry evidence requirement

Hi everyone!

A friend advised me about this forum so I became new member today.

I am a green card holder since 2 years and intend to file Reentry permit- I 131 because I want to stay outside for more than a year when I visit my home country next time.

I will appreciate if you can guide me as to " do I need to submit any evidence for staying outside or simply any justifiable reason will suffice".

Do I have to submit 2 photographs? I-131 instruction does not say so whereas immihelp instruction mention about submitting the same.

1. Just say whatever the reason is for staying outside the U.S.
2. You have to submit the phographs.

Processing time- I131- Reentry permit

For my future planning, I would like to know:
Approx. duration of issue of Biometric Notice from the date of receipt of application; &
Total processing time of issue of I131 from receipt of application. I am in Virginia and I am to file at Dallas Lockbox.

I live with my son, so once finger printings are done, can I leave US and tell my son to forward the permit to my address in India?

I plan to travel to India sometime in May 1st week.

Request advise.
