hi i would like to know if anyone in this forum could tell me what i need to do to up keep my green card because my husband and me is out the us we have a business in our home country that we run so we work out of the country we live in the us for 16mths but the bills are very expensive so we we decide run our business in our home country that we had before migrating so my point can i spend like two to three months in the us or can i travel every six months and spend a two months also what type of tax we need to pay would really appreciate any advise.

Hi,

Got the GC few days ago. We are planning to live in the US, however I have a fixed contract job in Australia which ends next year June. In my passport the visa expires at september this year. Can somebody tell me if I enter into the US in august this year, can I leave the country for another 6-9 months without getting a re-entry permit?
I read that at the airport the officer will stamp into our passport which valid for one year, can I leave the country and come back before this stamp expire?

as long u don't leave USA more than one year, you should be fine.
reentry is required if leaving more than 1 year, and lose GC if more 2 years.

if you go once a year in the USA for tourism, it will be more complicated for the dhs to take ur gc away as you go to the USA.

best way is to keep some bank account in the USA and pass ur driving license and open a mail box in the USA.and aslways say you are resident of the USA and u feel a good patriot.
