  • Stamp in Passport

Hi, After My greencard was approved, I was asked to go to Immigration office to get a "temporary stamp" in my passport which will be valid until I got my "Physical Green Card"(plastic card) in mail.

My greencard is valid until 2012 and my temporary stamp in passport was until july,2003.

When I sent papers for Visitor's visa to my parants, they were refused saying that "The date in my passport expired" & they refused to see my greencard copy.

So my question is - Should I get another stamp in my passport which reflects my green card(until 2012)?

Please, please let me know ASAP.

    Thank you

The actual card is what counts. You won't get a new stamp, since you have the card. The consulate made an error.
