Hello All-
My mother has severe spine problem and I wish to bring her here. In future, I hope she could continue to live here with us as long as we live in US [which is next 5-10 yrs].
My aunt[mothers younger sister] is a US citizen.
Initially, I thought I could have her sponsor GC to my mother by filing the sibling petition to GC.
However after reading some other forums I see the waiting time is almost 10 years.[Is that true, please confirm?].
So, the other way to tackle this was to have my aunt sponsor a GC to her mother [ my granny].
I was told it does not take more than 6 months for my granny to get a GC. But not sure how that will help my mother. As in, my granny cannot sponsor for mom[as she will be a GC and not a citizen]… if we are looking at waiting for my granny to become a citizen and then sponsor my mom… ?
Am I confused? How to crack this?
The goal is to have my mom stay here w/o any issues of visa and also have health insurance…..
