Hi all,
I am a UK citizen currently in the USA. I plan to travel to Australia in November 2008, hopefully for up to 12 months.
I am in the process of filling in the online forms, but there are a couple of things I am not sure about.
1. I am self employed. Will I be able to work for myself ("in" the UK) while I am in Australia? I would have no work from or with Australian companies. If this is not possible, I have funds to cover myself anyway.
2. In the self employment section, I am asked to give my registered business name and registered business address, however I don't have a registered business, I just work for myself. What should I put here?
3. Is this visa hard to get? If it gets denied, what are the consequences?
4. When should I apply for it? I will be based in Seattle until the end of June, then in Vancouver until October. After that I will be travelling in the far east until I reach Australia.
5. Am I likely to need an interview? (Washington DC is a long way from here ...)
Thanks,
Jon
