Urgent help needed with Resident Return Visa (155 and 157)

Hello folks,
I am a permanent resident of Australia and my PR is going to expire sometime on June, 2020. After being granted with PR, I have visited Australia for 2 weeks in November 2015. Now I live in the United States with temporary work visa. I have my wife and daughter who are permanent residents and living in Australia since January, 2020. But, due to work, I don't think I will be able to move to Australia before my PR expiry date.

Questions:
1. Do I need apply for RRV before my PR expires? If not, can I apply for RRV on February 2021?
2. If I apply now and receive (hopefully) RRV for 1 year/3 months, does this period starts from the expiry date of my current PR?
3. If I receive the RRV (hopefully) and cannot move to Australia for some reason, will I be able to apply for RRV again?

Timing of RRV Application:
Yes, you should apply for the RRV before your current PR expires if you wish to retain your status as a permanent resident of Australia. If you apply after your PR expires, you'll need to meet additional criteria to be eligible.
You can apply for an RRV up to 3 months before your current PR expires.

Validity Period of RRV:
If you apply and receive an RRV, the validity period typically starts from the date it is granted, not from the expiry date of your current PR. For example, if your current PR expires in June 2020 and you're granted an RRV in February 2021, the validity period of the RRV would start from the date it's granted.

Applying for RRV Again:
If you receive an RRV but cannot move to Australia during its validity period, you can apply for another RRV in the future if needed. Each application will be assessed based on your circumstances at the time of application, including your ties to Australia and reasons for needing the visa.
