  • Is Computer-based IELTS accepted for Australia immigration

    The Australia immigration website says:
Some test providers offer alternative versions of their tests that you can take at home or online, such as TOEFL iBT – Home Edition, OET@Home, PTE Academic Online, IELTS Online (General and Academic) and IELTS Indicator. Home Affairs does not accept scores from these tests, or any other 'at-home' or 'online' tests for Australian migration purposes.

Is computer-based test done at a testing center (not home) accepted? Has anyone here done it?

Yes, computer-based IELTS tests taken at official testing centers (not at home) are accepted for Australian immigration purposes. The Australian immigration website specifies that it does not accept at-home or online versions of tests, but computer-based tests conducted at official testing centers are valid. Many people have successfully used computer-based IELTS results from testing centers for their visa applications.

So, if you take your IELTS test at an authorized testing center, your results will be accepted by the Australian immigration authorities.

Yes, computer-based tests taken at a secure testing center are accepted for Australian immigration purposes. The Australian immigration website specifically excludes at-home and online tests.

Many people have successfully used computer-based tests like IELTS on computer or PTE delivered at a test center to meet the English language requirements for their Australian visa applications. These tests are offered at various locations around the world and you can find information on registering for a computer-based test on the test provider's website.
