Newborn US Citizen, which India visa is better

Hi all,
We are expecting new arrival in family. Our work assignment suddenly has come to an end and seems like we have 5 weeks time to prepare for newborn's passport and India visa.

I need help in deciding type of India Visa i should apply for considering that it might be long stay in India and we have only 5 weeks here to complete visa.

Entry Visa/PIO/OCI what suites best.

Entry Visa seems better as we can get on same day, but with this can my newborn stay for longer?
PIO/OCI takes more time.. is there any way to get ENTRY visa and then apply for converting it to PIO/OCI ?
PIO/OCI which is better..

Any suggestion is highly appreciated.

Apply for entry visa now and once you return to India, apply for PIO card.

I'd say, apply for the cheapest tourist visa and take care of the PIO application in India.

PIO is the best visa for you, recently one of my friends has applied for this and it worked for them.
