cost of school education for US born US passport holder with POI card

Hi,

I have heard colleges cost exorbitant amount for US passport holders with PIO card. Will that be the same for school education system (1st standard to 12th) also. Do they ask for big donations?

How about cities like Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Cochin.

Of late, the number of these kind of kids are in the rise. So will there be any changes in the future.
