My wife is Indian and I have a PIO status. We are living here in India. One of the benefits of getting PIO status is opening a rupee bank account. But i have been to 3 banks and they are unable to open the account. They do not give me a reason why but I honestly dont think they know what to do with PIO or the rules for PIO. What should I do? is there anyone with PIO that has opened a bank account? Which bank?
