Customs India urgent please!

Is TOR mandatory or can we opt not to avail TOR? Please let me know. I too will be moving between India and US and am shipping used goods to India. I am on H1 visa and my family plans to stay in India. I plan to move back and forth due to the nature of my work. Will there be any issue if there is Transfer of Residence stamp on my passport, as i will be traveling back to US? This is very urgent. Any suggestion or advise will be much appreciated.

It is really up to you whether you want to available TOR or not.

Even if you have TOR stamped on your passport, you can still go back to the US later.
