Divorce, Custody and Giving Birth in Canada

My husband and I (both CDN's) moved to MI 8 years ago. We are now in the process of getting a divorce and I would like to return home with my US born daughter and soon to be expected child. I have not been able to find any legal resources or info about

1) Custody matters of Ex-Patriates wanting to return home
2) Giving birth in Canada.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
