free allowance raised in 35K from 25 K application date ?

Friends,

Our PM and FM did declare raise in free allowance while visiting abroad and returning after at least more then 3 days .... all passanger / head limit was INR 25000 now it should be 35000

but the web says after getting it published in gazzette it will be a law... now budget is still not passed .... under discussion .... so from which date indian travelling abroad can bring duty free items limit 35K in stead of 25K present limit ??

the tour should be longer then 3 days min and px age shouold be 10 yrs+....

Laptop if carried with one per head. + routine non excessive ornaments person wearing normally. is exempt
Clubbing the anount not permitted even amongst family..

Taking TV to India

Hi All,

I am planning to take TV to India and I have already inquired that TV works well now which are taken to India by few of my friends. Now my only worry is the charges which I might incur additionally.
My question is that:
1) Should I take 40 inch or 46 inch- if the airlines charges are flat for any additional baggage that is somewhere 150$ then I will prefer to carry 46 inches TV. however if the charges vary with dimension after allowable limit i.e. 62 inches then I will carry 40 inch TV
2) how much custom duty I might have to pay. I am going back to India for good but TV I will be buying new. So will it be 30% custom duty or 15% custom duty over allowable limit?
