Now, any one has experienced this before. How to get a letter from any one in DSP ranking.

    thanks in advance

Please visit Office of Police commissioner in your city and ask for police clearance certificate. They will advise you the procedure.

Canadian embassy doesnt accept the Police certificate issued by the visa office if your passport is more than a year old.

In that case, you need to visit the SP/Police commisionor office located in your district courts. Fillup a form, pay the fee, attach photocopies of ur passport and submit all of them.

A police enquiry will be performed again, just like it was done while taking passport, and you'll get the PCC in 15-20 days after applying.

And ofcourse, the PCC means you haven't commited any crime, but you commit one while taking the PCC, paying bribe to the policeman who comes to your place for verificataion. Interesting, isnt it?

          Hi monanasir
Can you provide me the checklist of all documents required for the Canadian Immigration.
I would also like to request you to write to me in detail regarding the processes involved for different steps i.e. Getting a Police Certificate.

PS: I am working in US on H1 and planning to immigrate to Canada.

          Thanks,
          Indo

            procedure for police clearance certificate

            hi

here with i am giving the procedure to obtain the police certificate in india(irrespective of state)

            1. first just visit the local intellegence bureau of the district superintendent of police(normally situated with the office of superintendent)

            2. there you have to show proof of residence, passport, telephone bill or light bill, residency certificate from your local panchayat, also carry 4 nos. of photographs.

            3. then the clerk will check the things and he will fill a form and attach the xerox copies( must be true copied by a gazetted officer) and then close it in a sealed cover and then he either gives to you or send through their local courier.

            4. if he has given the same to you then have it and then move to the police station of the area in which you r residing then the local intellegence office will verify the things and they will give the date to come back again with all originals which you showed as your proof of identity and residential address and then he will get you to the inspector, the inspector will ask some questions regarding the need of pcc etc. thats all

5 then the officer of IB will fulfill the formality and send back all the documents to again district centre and there you can have the police clearance certificate with in 3-4 days, all is simple and hassle free procedure, this procedure is for district areas but not for commissionerates in that case you have to visit the commissionerate office and have the details
