Hello,
Hoping someone could help me. When I came back to USA from my vacation in India, I had a passport that was going to expire in August 2015. My H1b and visa stamping is valid until March 2016. While entering USA, Immigration officer had mentioned that I need to get my new passport, go out of the country and come back to USA to get a new I 94 with the renewed passport. I got my new passport and below are my questions.
I want to go to Cancun, Mexico.
1. Do I need a visa for Mexico? My old passport has a valid visa on it.
2. If I go to Mexico and come back, will I get a new I 94 while entering USA? Airlines that I see the ticket is Frontier which is primarily a domestic US airline. Want to make sure that I will get a new I 94.
3. Anyone had this issue before and what they did (which country you visited and details)?
4. Any other suggestions.
