  • time after file no.

    hi all ,
i've applied for skilled class immigration for canada by taking a consultant's services now i have got the file no., and the consultant is asking for more money (he already charged some amount ) but at the time of contract he promised me to charge the money after giving me work permit for canada. he told me earlier ,that after applying to canadian high commission he'll arrange the work permit so that i can goto canada on that permit and also my whole case of immigration will be shifted to canada and i'll get PR status within 12 months.now he says that he can arrange tele interviews innext 2 months and after that it takes 7-8 months more to get approval from HRSDC Canada. please anyone suggest what i've to do now ? plz... plz respond as soos as possible.
is it necessary for me to be a bachelor degree holder ,i'm 12th + two year diploma in computers + one year diploma in electronics (both from private institutes) + MCSE (feb.2005) . i've almost 8 years of work experiance in computer hardware field.isn't sufficiant? when did high commission issues file no. for immigration (i mean after assesing points criteria ?)or they asses points after issuing file no. ?
also how much time it takes for immigration interview after receiving file no. for skilled class immigration, for canada, new delhi, india ?
    thanks & god bless
    seeking urgent help plz...

In all probability, your agent is trying to extract money from you for immigration services and not for work permit.

As him to show copy of your papers submitted to HRDC for work permit and HRDC response to understand how real is the situation?

An agent doesnot increase your chances of getting immigration visa. You could have used that money when you arrive in Canada.

please let me know is it true that ,at the time of submitting the immigration file to canadian high commission, you have to pass total points(67 current) or you can submit documents later .when did high commission issues file no. for immigration (i mean after assesing points criteria ?)or they asses points after issuing file no. ?
      thanks

File # is a primary process when application with fee is received. It has nothing to do with points. That is later.

If application is incomplete, it will delay processing

            Keep the faith

Girav45. Please do not feel disillusioned at this time. You have more than the educational requirements for skilled worker category and your employment history is also great. I assume that you are in the age category for maximum points and so forth, so all you have to do is to hang in there and wait. I think the times for India are a few years but always remember that in any event, the time may vary from time to time so although you may fall into a wait category of 3 years, many get through the process in shorter periods. You should have filed the documents on your own as Nishant indicated but this is the past now and I suggest that you try to save a s much a s possible in the process as your eventual settling in Canada can be a very expensive process especially if you are moving there without family ties. Good luck and you will be there soon enough.

              another testimonial

Hello again gorav! juat another testimonial here as to the educational requirement for successful immigration. A friend of mine who just made the 67 requirement and applied for skilled worker about 14 months ago, finally was accepted and she moved to Canada two weeks ago. She had three o level passes and a one year computer course so she only had 11 years of total education. However she is into a high demand field and she is now so happy in Canada that she does not even want to return to this country to sell all her things here...she says food is so cheap and she wants to buy a house right away as they too are quite inexpensive. Hang on in there buddy and yout turn will be here before you know it!
